My Panning Goals for 2020

New year - new collection, right? Well, that's what I aim to accomplish next year anyway. My collection has seen a lot of ups and downs this past year and even though it certainly is the closest to my ideal collection as it's ever been it's still not perfect. I still have products in my collection that I want out and I have products that I want to find better alternatives for. These are the main changes I want to make in my collection in 2020.

Have nothing but long-lasting liquid lipsticks.

I know myself by now. When I put something on my lips I want it to stay put. I want to be able to eat and drink with it without having to think about whether it'll leave me with a so called butt hole lip or smudge all over my face. I want to be able to be completely carefree and still look respectable. Only long-lasting liquid lipsticks can do that for me.

This means I have to pan or declutter a total of 7 lipsticks before the end of 2020.

Find my perfect foundation and concealer.

Being pale as a ghost, finding complexion products that aren't too dark is a struggle. So far I've had to buy white foundations and concealers to mix with. but I still have hope my perfect match is out there somewhere. Hopefully I'll find it in 2020. Please leave any and all foundations in the comments that have a shade that's almost white. I'd be very grateful!

Remove face primers from my collection.

I haven't found a face primer that actually does much for the longevity of my makeup so I've decided I might as well remove that extra step from my routine. My skin is dry and makeup stays on just fine. I'm just throwing money down the drain. Time to spend my money on things I actually need instead.

I'll have to pan two face primers in 2020 to reach this goal.

Use up everything in my FX makeup bag.

You might not know this, but I have a separate makeup bag that I have FX makeup in. There's face paint, scar wax, spirit gum, latex and a whole bunch of other things hiding in there. Some of it is getting old and I believe it is time to use it all up. Prepare for some more interesting looks in 2020.

Purchase an orange lipstick.

I've been on the lookout for an orange lipstick for a while now and I think 2020 will be the year I finally get myself one. Right now I'm eyeing the orange one from the Amor Eterno collection by Melt Cosmetics. It's a bright orange which is exactly what I want and I know I like the Melt formula. I might actually purchase this lipstick before 2020.

Create a skin care routine that works and only purchase those products.

I have way too many skin care products I don't use and I also haven't truly figured out a skin care routine that I like and am able to stick to. It's time to use up all my products and only repurchase the ones I truly like and use. The only thing I know I will repurchase already is the Hyaluronic Acid + B5 from The Ordinary. I love that shit.

Only purchase vegan makeup.

It's time my makeup collection reflects my values. The only exception I have to this rule is that I may purchase non-vegan eyeshadow palettes.

Make my bathroom plastic free.

Toothpaste. That's my problem right now. Where do I find a toothpaste not packaged in plastic that also works and doesn't break the bank? So far it seems to be impossible.
Apart from the toothpaste, my bathroom is almost plastic free now!

Get my highlighter collection down to just one.

I love highlighters, don't get me wrong, I just have too many that I never use. Just one good highlighter is all I need. I think. We'll see. I want to pan all but one anyway and if I realise that I do need more of them, I'll allow myself to purchase whatever shade I need. I'm fairly sure this won't happen though. I've been using eyeshadow for more interesting highlighters so far and that has worked just fine.

So, these are my current goals for 2020. There will probably be a lot of changes to the list throughout the year. I'll add more goals and do some light changes to some others.
