Ideas for Your Next Project Pan
Do you think it's time for a new project pan, but don't have the slightest idea what to join? Or do you want to create your own project, but can't think of anything to base it on? I'm here for you. Just keep reading and hopefully you'll have something fun to participate in by the time you've finished reading.
The first thing I normally do when I want to start a new project is to look through my stash in order to see what needs to be used up as soon as possible. I gather all potential products in a basket and analyze them one by one. I ask myself questions like; Which ones are the closest to expiring? Which ones have the least product in them? Which ones are the most versatile? Do I already have enough products like these in ongoing panning projects? The ones that don't meet the criteria are then put back until I have a decent amount of good choices to choose from and then I decide on a project. This is not always the case, though. Sometimes I want to choose the project first. Today's post include several ideas and you can either scroll through to find a project to fit your needs product wise or you can just browse to see if something just looks fun and choose products later.
First some shameless self promotion of my own ongoing projects:
DROP THE CRUELTY
If you've realized that you no longer want to support animal testing and want all non cruelty free products out of your collection this is the project for you. It is the first project I ever made and I'm still working on it. You gather all your non-cf products and make an inventory list of it, then you choose 10 products to start with and start using them up. After you've finished one you roll in another and keep going until your collection is cruelty free. I'm not going to tell you what you should consider cruelty free or not, because I've realized we all have our own ideas on what should and what shouldn't count. If you think post-market testing in China is a problem, I suggest you check out Logical Harmony and Cruelty Free Kitty, but if not you should probably check out Peta's list as well. Whatever your opinions are I suggest you do thorough research anyway. This issue is far from black and white.
FINAL COUNTDOWN PROJECT
This is a project to move out all those products that are close to expiring. Go through your stash and gather all the products that are going to expire within the year and put them in a basket. This includes both skincare and makeup. There you go. That is your project. Use the products as much as you can before they expire and then declutter them. The project is over by the time you've either used up the last product or the last product has expired. Have fun!
Disclaimer: Remember that expiry dates aren't life and death. It is only the time the company can guarantee that the product keeps its quality. Don't throw away perfectly good makeup just because the sign on the back says six months. This project is meant as a wake up call rather than a way to scare you into throwing away your stash.
And if you're looking for challenges other people have already thought of I suggest you take a quick look at @thepanningcommunity on Instagram for more inspiration.
So, onto what you probably came here for; the proper brainstorming. Here are some of my ideas for projects that I've just never made:
