Decluttering My Spotify Playlists
Spotify is my go to source for music. I use it daily and for a wast majority of my day. I can't stand silence for too long. I need music on when I'm cooking and when I'm cleaning, I need music to calm down to before I go to sleep and to turn me into the right mood for studying. I need music for almost all of my daily activities.
When it comes to music in my playlists I am definitely a hoarder. If I can sing along to a song I HAVE to have it in a playlist. If I recognize a song and I don't hate it I HAVE to have it in a playlist. This is definitely something I should work on in my life. In order to organize the chaos I've created these past 6+ years on Spotify, I've decided to just store all of my nostalgic playlists in a folder and make some new ones that represent present me a little bit better. The days of swiping past half of the songs in my playlists are hopefully over now.
This is really helping me declutter my mind. If any of you are even remotely as obsessed with music as I am, I truly recommend you do this. If you are actually able to delete your old playlists, then that'd be great. If I haven't played the old ones by the end of 2018 (or come to my senses) I will delete my old playlists then.
