Documentary: The True Cost
This is a documentary everyone should watch. I don't care about any of your possible excuses. You need to watch it. The documentary is about the fashion industry and everything the industry destroys. If you buy clothes ever, this documentary is for you. You can find it on Netflix and probably on other streaming services too.
Why should you watch this documentary? Because you need to know where your clothes come from and you need to be educated on what consequences your actions have. I got a serious wake-up call. We are not only polluting the earth in a thousand different ways when we shop our fast fashion clothes, we are literally killing people with our actions. We can no longer turn a blind eye to the factories collapsing, killing hundreds of workers only so that we can buy our fifteenth summer dress or pair of heels. We need to make better choices. The power is in our hands and we have to make a change. It is long overdue.
Watch The True Cost. And if you refuse; why? Are you afraid you won't be able to justify your actions after it? You won't. You really should buy less stuff. But if that is why you refuse to watch it, then you already know what kind of impact you have on other people and this planet. How can you justify your actions even if you don't watch it?
