7 British Series You Should Watch on Netflix

Netflix is a big part of my life. I watch Netflix daily and I binge it. I mean, I am watching Netflix as I'm writing this. Watching TV-series is so effortless and I meet up with a few selected friends every Wednesday and we watch Tv-series and movies together. I also binge watch different shows every day with my bf. It is so simple to have something on in the background while you blog, edit pictures or anything else on your laptop. Netflix is so convenient.
I tend to mostly watch British Tv-series. They tend to have less episodes in a season than for example American series, which means less filler episodes and more actual content, you know? There are lots of American series I love too, but you'll have to wait for another blog post for those.

I really want to share my favourite series with you guys so without further ado, here are seven British Tv-series I believe you all should watch.

The first show that I'm also currently watching is Luther. It is an amazing detective series following a middle aged British detective, who sometimes uses slightly questionable methods. It is one of the absolute best crime dramas I've ever seen and if you're even remotely interested in these kinds of shows I recommend you give it a try. There are only a few episodes per season so you can easily watch a season a day. That would only take 4-6 hours! There are some scenes that I'd say are a little difficult to watch so sensitive people might want to look away sometimes.

Sherlock is definitely one of my absolute favourite shows of all time. I love it. You've probably heard of it so I won't ramble on about what it's all about. I'd rather just tell you to watch it because of its brilliance. I once heard it described as TV-series about a detective and not a detective series. That is exactly what it is. Even though it focuses on the cases of each episode it has an even heavier focus on the characters and their relationships. I believe that is what makes me love it so much. It gives the episodes more meaning.

Broadchurch is another detective series (I sense a pattern here). The reason I love this series so much is because it feels so incredibly real. A lot of shows feel a little over the top when they find the most ridiculous clues in the most ridiculous ways. This show is not like that at all. It is incredibly frustrating sometimes because they actually have to wait in line for all the different bureaucracy and nothing goes as smooth as in all other detective series. This feels real. I can't stress that enough. It is definitely worth a watch!

The Crown is a must watch if you like historical dramas. As most of you know it is about Queen Elisabeth II when she first became the sovereign of the UK and all their colonies back in the early 50s. Sometimes I wonder how much of the series is actually true and how the Royal Family allows this show to be on netflix. It feels like it is a little too personal at times.

I really enjoyed this show. It is not that long and it is perfect to binge. I don't want to spoil it too much so I'm just going to say that it is absolutely hilarious and it is like nothing I had watched before it. I recommend this show to everyone old enough to watch it and is still young enough to enjoy it.

Do you have any favourite shows you think I should check out? Leave them in the comments!
